When you picture your ceremony under the open sky in Carrollton, you’re imagining more than a location. You’re planning a memory anchored in natural light, fresh air, and the kind of setting your guests will talk about for years.
We understand that outdoor ceremonies come with real questions. What if the weather shifts? How do you arrange seating on turf versus pavement? Which garden fits your guest count and your vision? At Dallas Palms Venue, we’ve hosted ceremonies for 50 people and ceremonies for 500, and we’ve learned what works.
Planning Your Outdoor Ceremony in Carrollton
Choosing an outdoor ceremony space comes down to three things: the number of guests you’re hosting, the look you want, and how the space functions from the moment your first guest arrives to the moment your last one leaves. We’ve worked through hundreds of ceremonies across our three gardens, and we know which questions matter most.
Three Garden Spaces, Three Different Feels
Our 6.5 acres of landscaped grounds give you options. The Bel Air Garden is our largest at around 10,000 square feet. It holds up to 500 guests for a ceremony and offers two levels. The upper ceremony space includes an arbor and a water feature, while the lower level has turf, a waterfall, and a lounge area. If you want room to move and a dramatic entrance, this is it.
The Melrose Garden features two pergolas with string lights that frame the space and fits up to 170 guests. This garden works well for couples who want a defined structure without feeling enclosed.
The Malibu Garden is our most intimate option. It holds up to 120 guests for a ceremony or reception. You’ll find an oasis setting, a ceremony arch, a water feature, and a string light ceiling overhead. Guests describe this one as cozy without being cramped.
All three gardens lean into golden hour aesthetics. We’ve designed them with that soft, warm light in mind.
Set Up and Lighting That Fits Your Ceremony
Our full-service staff handles setup and teardown, so you’re not coordinating chair placements or testing sound levels the morning of your ceremony. Day of coordination is included. We manage the flow.
Lighting makes or breaks an outdoor ceremony once the sun starts to drop. We offer several approaches: uplighting to highlight architectural features, pin spots for centerpieces if you’re staying in the garden for your reception, disco ball focal points for a celebratory vibe, and chandeliers hung from trees if you want something a little more creative. These are tools we use to shape the space around your ceremony style.
Weather Considerations for Carrollton Ceremonies
Texas weather moves fast. You know this if you live here. Spring and fall give you the best odds for comfortable temperatures, but summer evenings can be beautiful once the sun drops, and winter ceremonies have their own charm if your guests come prepared.
We can’t control the sky, but our team has managed outdoor events through sudden cloud cover, wind, and last-minute temperature swings. Our approach is straightforward communication. We’ll talk through timing, backup plans, and what your guests will need to stay comfortable. You make the call, we execute it.
Cultural Ceremonies in Our Gardens
Our gardens have hosted Nepali weddings and cultural events, Indian and Pakistani wedding ceremonies and celebrations, Desi family gatherings and social events, Hispanic weddings and cultural festivals, Nigerian events and ceremonies, and American multicultural events and private parties. Each tradition brings its own flow, its own significance, and we’ve learned to adapt.

If your ceremony includes specific rituals, processions, or cultural elements, tell us early. Our planning team has worked with Middle Eastern, Vietnamese, and South Asian ceremonies. We understand that flexibility matters when tradition is involved.
What Comes with Your Garden Booking
You can book any garden with its corresponding ballroom or separately. Our full-service team covers planning, catering, florals, décor, AV, and lighting. You’re also welcome to bring your own vendors under our open vendor policy. Outside caterers are welcome, and clients can furnish their own alcohol. Dallas Palms provides the bartender and security for client-furnished alcohol. When outside food is brought in, cutleries and waitstaff are available for an additional charge.
Parking is handled. We have ample free spots on site, and valet service is available upon request.
Your ceremony deserves a setting that feels intentional, not improvised. Our gardens in Carrollton give you space, structure, and a team that knows how to manage the details that matter. If you’re ready to walk through the options in person, we’re here.
